Your Notice of Intended Marriage is the first of five mandatory legal documents that must be completed a minimum of one months (and a maximum of 18 months) BEFORE you are legally able to be married.
So, if you legally lodge your NOIM on the 10th of August, you are legally able to marry on or after the 10th of September. If you lodge your NOIM on a date that has no equivalent in the following month, it moves to the next actual day. For example, if you lodge your NOIM on January 31st there is no February 31st, so you are legally able to marry on or after March 1st.
